Floorplans & 3D Renderings

We visualize the opportunities within your space to help you create the look you love

Joe’s Carpentry’s full-service approach includes both 2D Floor Plans and 3D Renderings. Our objective is to offer a realistic visual representation of the renovation or custom home that you envision. Early in the process, we’ll take initial site measurements. We’ll draft build plans, concept plans, and renderings based on your specific needs. You’ll then have a chance to view the plans and renderings and make necessary changes. We aim to provide complete satisfaction with every project, and this part of the design process ensures that you’re happy before any technical documents are drafted.

2D floor plan designs

A 2D floor plan is a flat drawing that shows the layout of your property from above.  This diagram will show the structural elements of your home, like doors, windows, stairs and walls, and it will highlight the room layout.  Think of the type of plans you see when shopping for a home or apartment online.

This floor plan will also show your planned adjustments, whether you’re making an addition, renovating a space or embarking on a complete custom build.  Additionally, the 2D floor plan will show measurements and make it easy to determine if you do or don’t like a particular feature.  Ultimately, the floor plan is a great way for you to envision your updated home and determine if your idea works or if you need to make changes to get it just right.

3D rendering designs

A 3D rendering design uses 3D computer graphics to create a more realistic image of what your home will look like. Where the 2D floor plan serves as a blueprint for your project, the 3D rendering is more like a photo. This design gives you the ability to see the potential finished product with all anticipated materials, finishes, fixtures and other design aspects.

3D renderings offer you another opportunity to decide if everything works. You have a chance to view the aesthetics of your project and get a true feel for the more emotional aspects, like colour, architectural consistency and the overall effect of your home’s updates or new designs.
